Default Red channel saturation

Hi,

I notice that the red channel tends to over saturate when taking photos of red flowers. This happened with both my DL and K100D Super. How do I avoid this?

It's not just the camera alone, the lens actually is part of the results too. Sometimes are better w/ red colors, like the FA*28-70/2.8.
