Hi guys,
i know the D40X does not have auto focus on the body itself as such only AFS HSM lenses can be use. i am planning to get a prime lens to learn about aperature and composing. how would i know that i am in focus if i use of those manual focusing prime lens.??

On your bottom left hand side of your viewfinder there's a little green dot. If you can see it lit up, your subject is in focus.
