Just announced!!! Good thing I waited on getting a H10 or H9...
ED lens element, user-selectable noise reduction (thank you Sony), white balance and color mode bracketing, and an upgraded DRO (Dynamic Range Optimizer) function. It also has an improved sports mode and, last but by no means least, Sony's unique 'smile shutter' and adult- or child-priority face detection.

It is Unclear if the COMPRESSION can be controlled. Only the Noise Reduction is controllable.
on the H9, You cannot select FINE, SUPER-FINE modes for the JPEG. Also if you get some sunlight in the lens, the LCD will turn Purple and the camera becomes unusable for focusing. Better test the camera before you get it.. Allan |
