Default Sensor Cleaning - How much?

Hi, my 30D produce black spots when i take photos, some sort like dirt/dust.
Visible at full view.
How much does it cost if i send it to CSC for cleaning/servicing?
Or other places other than CSC?

CSC usually charges around $21.

how about try this with your blowing, hold the nozzel, and blow for about a minute on the sensor.
i had a black spot once, but at first could not blow it off, tired so did nt want to think much (sianz liao) so i just kept the nozzel above the sensor and just blow for a minute...wahaha... hmmm sensor will not spoil rite and finally the spot was gone !

Hi, please make sure do a test shot after your get back from them. At least use F16 shooting on whtie wall or sky, you can see is there any dot or not. I have let them re-clean for me second time, it is ok.

I frequently experience this too so sending it in to CSC is the solution.

Bro i suggest trying to do e cleaning ur self. Not too diff actually. Just need to do it once n u'l get e hang of it.

To me wasnt abt e money but e time spend goin to & fro to CSC tat make me wanna do it myself. There's lotsa website tat teach u how to clean it.

Just my 2cts worth of advice.

Yea. It is a good idea to clean yourself. It's not too difficult.

Places such as CP do sell them. I don't think they're too expensive.

CP, they sell a motorised brush that can be used for sensor cleaning. the brush can be used on the sensor. it costs about 125SGD.. the brush is made of very fine n delicate material.

Sounds like those brushes CID uses for fingerprints in a crime scene.
