hmm..somehow i dun like the grayscale treatment.. missing out on the colours of the bikes, and the riders' gear

Ok. Noted. Colors were not that fantastic on that day, so i switched to B/W and tighter crop when shooting. I will try again. Thanks.

The action captured is good. Good sharpness too. Black and white can be harder to get it right but when you get it right the image can be more powerful. Try photoshop.
