Default Nature (flowers & small thingys)

hi guys,

this is the first time i am trying my hands on nature photography. these shots were taken this evening with my D40X with Kit Lens and a 70-210 AF lens (manual focus) which i borrowed from my uncle. Didn't know those Film camera lens can be used for D40X also except cant auto focus

all shots are taken in manual mode except #2

comments are much needed and do select your favorite. thanks!!

#1 Strelitzia reginae an exotic flower in other countries but common in sg. we always fail to notice it's beautiful vibrant colours perhaps cus its too common :P

well perhaps if you let everyone know (in guidelines)

1. in what area is critique to be sought?
2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
3. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture

personally i think the water droplets are nice. crop away the leaf at the bottom left. i suppose it's good for a first try... but theres nothing really interesting about this picture.
