My Virgin shot after owning a 40D two days ago. First DSLR and still figuring-out the functions. All CnCs welcome for a better tomorrow

What mode did you use? It seems that you need to do some readings on controling DSLR. Read on books, magazines and CS, it will help you.

congrats on your first dslr. couple of things tho... the background is distracting and the flowers are underexposed.
