Default Winter JiuZaiGou

Went to JiuZaiGou by joining a local tour @ ChengDu during CNY. It's a very rush trip as we only got one full day to explore JGZ. Due to heavy snow, tourist can only take bus from one spot to another spot.

It's beautiful! Did you use a tripod to get the slow shutter shots of the water? Some of the snow look blue!
Such a nice contrast in weather! Clear blue sky and snow starting to melt. Very nice captures.

Jiuzhaiguo in winter is truely a different place.
However I feel that your shots are too 'zoomed in' as in too closed up on the ice, calcified branches in the lakes etc. There should be more wide-angles shots posted so that the viewers can see how grand and beautiful the water and landscapes at Jiuzhaiguo are.

actaully i partly agree with you. i think it will be great to have a variety of even more close-up view as well as very wide views. his is not too zoomed in, and rather is quite in between.

on the other hand, it is a little too dim for my taste although i see that some parts is already burned out. overall i think exposure for #4 and #5 is just right, the rest is too dark in my perception.

hmm, actually I only bring a 17-35 lens (with 1.5x crop factor). But becoz we can't walk by ourself (most the wooden walking path was full of snow and shut by the authority), and with very limited time, most of my wide angle shots are quite bad

Ya, lack of experience to shoot snowy scene, still don't know how to optimize the exposure
