Default Questions on quick release plate

Hey guys.. sorry to bother.. However I have a question on the quick release plate. I have a Monfrotto trpiod but it's missing it's quick relase plate (the plate securing the camera to the tripod). I have been searching in the net to get a replacement for it but it seems thats its very expensive.

    - Can I use any other brand instead?

    - Where am I able to purchase it from?

    - How much would it likely cost?

Thanks for helping out the new kid...

You mean the RC2 quick release plate?

Not sure if there are other similar ones. Check with Cathay or other stores.

You might want to check with Eugene - the local Manfrotto supplier for CS, whether he carry
the release plate for your tripod.

He's done at the Marketplace > Mass Orders / Mass Sales section.

    Nice guy to deal with.

Yeah, it's just the plate itself. I think mine is a 128RC model. So are there any cheaper alternatives? And thanks gys for the prompt and efficient replies..
