Newbie Question Malaysian Freelancer in Sg?

Hi.

I'm recently graduated and am interested in pursuing a career in fashion photography in singapore. However the problem is, i'm malaysian and would like to stay in singapore doing freelance fashion work. Can malaysians Freelance in singapore? What kind of immigration Pass/Status would they be on if so?
Should i maybe set up a business?
