Default new full frame 24 MP sensor

"Sony has just announced a 24.8MP full frame 35mm sensor targeted at digital SLRS. The new CMOS sensor is said to use advanced circuitry to overcome the limitations inherent in creating a full frame sensor."

    So.
More full frame digicam SLRs coming along from manufacturers who buy the sensor and put it into their cams. Canon and Nikon already been there , done that.
    Well it has to be.

    Common sense.
The world over, millions of users have already spent a lot of money on many excellent lenses for their 35mm systems. Will these people want to spend ALL OVER AGAIN buying (for digi only) lenses to use with non-full frame digicams that give 2x or 1.5 x or 1.6x ?
    Of course not.

Still, Olympus digiSLR makers are hopeful. But like Hilary Clinton's campaign, it is a dying dream.
