i feel the 2nd 2 are better although the colours still seem overly unnatural. still, good exposure and good capture.

first shot,
the river bank doesn't go well with the skyscraper behind. the center building is tilted. second shot, the one sixth of bottom is redundant, can crop it off to make the composition more balance. lastly, the color of these images are subject to personal taste, so no comment on that. |

when you get purple in the sky, it is usually AFTER sunset or a while BEFORE sunrise unless you do insist that the sun is not red/orange but purple.. it is the main source of light after all. but then again, it doesn't really matter if you select a weird color palette, just try not to go out-of-this-world. in this case i would think that the thin line of acceptable surrealism has been crossed.. maybe a little less cold/magentaish would be more aesthetically pleasing. the classic shot is still better than the dried up river bank shot, since there is no real smooth linkage between the foreground and bankground. the tilt also needs to be corrected, looks like a mixture of vertical perspective problem, lens distortion and linear tilt. |
