Default Shooting Raw with K10D

Hi,

Currently I am shoot jpeg using setting like Bright mode, +1 sharpness, -1 saturation, -1 contrast. If I want to shoot raw, is ok to stay at this setting? or is better to go back to natural mode with default setting. If i use to shoot raw with a setting, can i tune it back through the processing software?

I have read K10D can produce a very quality RAW image. If prefer I just batch convert the RAW to JEPG without much tuning. So the initial setting when shoot RAW is important for my case.

I prefer the setting like natural in the way, what you see and what you show as image.

yes, you can tune everything in the raw setting, you can even choose bright mode if you want

so actually i like to shoot at everything 0, nothing changed, but i'm using k100d so actually even if shoot jpg also no issue

My setting for RAW is default since it allow you to have maximum control of your photo output.

When shooting in RAW, the camera setting (including the white balance setting) won't affect the RAW result at all. You can set whatever you like, but the RAW image should be the same. The small preview you see on the camera LCD is the JPG encoded in the RAW file, not the RAW image

The only thing you need to set properly is exposure when shooting in RAW.

Yes, you can change white balance all you like when doing post process But the white balance set before the photo is taken does affect the look of the JPG img bundled in the RAW file (not the RAW image )
