i think the tamron 10-24 would be a good UWA to have, even though its not out.

the range is quite nice, unlike the 11-16. and i'm sure it'll be a nice companion for those carrying 24-XX/X range.

I wonder if the image quality it produce will be sharper than the Sigma 10-20mm?

maybe if they made it like their 17-50, we'll all be very happy with the quality.

Any idea what is the f-stop of the 10-24 ?? I hope better than the f4 of Sigma.

it's f/3.5-4.5
better than the sigma 10-20 which is 4-5.6

That makes it an excellent competitor to the Canon 10-22 (should the image quality be good).

indeed it should compete directly with the canon

tamron makes quite a few interesting announcement. this UWA, and the new 70-200/2.8 yumm

Well not really, at least not for their latest superzoom lens. The Tamron 18-270 Press Release was at the end of July. The Tamron 18-270 was available in Nikon mounts in Sept/Oct and now for Canon it's been out for a week already.

was planing to sell away my 12-24mm tokina & get dis Tammy instead.. but guess we all have to wait awhile more.
