i almost puked

the photos are so huge that they scared the hell out of me...so i moved 10m away to see...by then no mood already

The plate's edge should not be cut off.

Uneven exposure.

The quality of the lighting does not flatter the food though.

Nothing wrong with cropping off the plate either. Who said it was 'wrong' or made it 'a rule'? I would love to find out and learn.

But the pictures ... are honestly, quite off-putting.

With this kind of messy food, no styling and general flatness/mush/broken up and disintegrating skin and flesh, it's best to make the dish as small as possible - about 1 inch per pix like in menus icons - then it might look better. No, I am not being sarcastic or sadistic.

I don't get the lighting. In the first, second and last pix, it's very harsh overhead spotlights, but the fish dish the lighting looks flat.
