Yosh, here is my picture, please do give your comments.
![]() ![]() Writeup. 1)In what area is critique to be sought? Mostly composition. 2)what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work? I want to show the revolution into the future (mannequin) while you're stuck in the past (reflection on glass). 3)under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions) I was walking around with my friends in chinatown when we crossed over to another street. I cannot remember where exactly. But the building there we quite old. Everything felt quite slow while i was there, it seemed as if time slowed down while we were there. Thanks. |

snapshottish
composition comments you want, composition comments you will get - inclusion of the little bit of shop panelling on the right is distracting, the reflections jumble the photo up turning it into a riot of colour. one's eye flits everywhere but gets nowhere. the concept behind your shot would not have been perceived, i see no link with the "stuck in the past" point and reflection on the glass. in fact, i would even have preferred just a shot of the mannequin with no reflection at all. |

Hello night86mare, thank you for your comments.
![]() I will try not to get better composition without distractions next time. I feel that this shot is somewhat snapshottish myself as i happen to chance upon the place, thus just try to take a shot and move on. I hope your defination of snapshot is the same as mine, which is to take a quick picture. ![]() |

is more of a picture that suffers from problems in composition, etc, then will call snapshottish, i.e. just taken on the spur of the moment without much thought going in no offense meant, though.. comments with regards to this one picture, has no bearing on your skill as a photographer, if you get what i mean |
