hi,may i ask is it possible to get a replacement for my mirror in the camera?cause when i bought the camera it was missing the mirror.(bought it dirt cheap thought.)thanks people in advance!

You can try going to Shriro, the local agent.
Alternatively, can also try The Camera Workshop in Peninsula Plaza.

I think so guy in clubsnap marketplace also offers (albeit expensive) special service to fix cameras including pentax but can't remember who he is now. You may want to ask in the general forums.

I can guarantee that Shriro will not have a replacement part for the Pentax S3. The S3 is early 1960s vintage and is older than the Pentax Spotmatic which in turn pre-dates the K series and M series of cameras. To my knowledge, Pentax only offer limited parts repair for the MX and LX cameras.

spaceship, best to try a camera repair shop to see if they have parts from cannibalised defective cameras but I don't believe it will come cheap.

I like to go Camera Hospital at Sunshine Plaza (not sure if it's still there though) to fix my photography equipment.
Steven there is very straight-forward. Will tell you to junk your stuff if he feels the cost to you is not worth it.
And I understand he's got quite a big stash of old parts.

I did not realise this camera is so vintage. Its the same age as me...hahhaha.

I have a spoiled Pentax SFX which still has the mirror but no focusing screen. Any chance can you put that mirror on your S3 so you'd still be able to use it?
