Tripod collar

hi, is the tripod collar for the canon 70-200 f2.8 detachable? how?

Yes it is. I don't own it (i'm planning to purchase one soon), but from what I've read online, you'll have to detach the lens from the camera (which might let dust get onto the sensor / lens), then turn and pull the collar out. Pretty ma-fan, but it gets the job done.

yes, it's removable. loosen the collar, then rotate it round the lens until the red dots match. you'll be able to slide it off then.
