I'm interested, but what is the date?

Since the visit is during low tide, are we physically going down to the wetlands or just at the broadwalk only?

I dont think we are allowed to go down and step into the wetlands. The environment there is very fragile and we should respect that and treasure and protect this precious sight that we still have. That is what the broadwalk is build for. Please read this link for more info.

Nope. Ya r not allowed on da shore. Ya need a NP guide to bring ya on da shore. Da only way ya can git a NP guide to bring ya on da shore is to book ya trip wif NP.

"If you wish to visit the intertidal flats at Chek Jawa:
Please call our Pulau Ubin Hotline (Tel: 6542-4108) or visit our Information Kiosk between 8.30 am and 5.00 pm to book a visit. As demand for the guided tours is high, please book early to avoid disappointment. Each booking call is entitled to make reservation of up to maximum 10 places. A booking number would be given for successful booking.

On the day of visit, please register with your booking number at the basketball court at the respective registration time. If you will not be able to make the visit, please call our hotline to cancel your booking.

1.Arrangements will be made for taxis to fetch you to and from Chek Jawa. The taxi ride takes 15 minutes and costs $2 per person one way. Alternatively, you may wish to rent or bring a bicycle and cycle to Chek Jawa.

On reaching Chek Jawa, nature guides will be at hand to take visitors on a 45-minutes walk to experience the amazing marine life there. Participants must wear appropriate covered footwear e.g. sneakers and canvas shoes (slippers and sandals are not suitable). Please follow the instructions of the guide, and stay on the designated route.
We seek your cooperation to ensure the long-term sustainability of Chek Jawa."

TS, I highly suggest ya give da number above a call first as it's always fully booked.

Good luck & enjoy yourself. Believe da footwear advice, ya dun wanna regret.

On da otherhand, if ya r walking on da boardwalk. Just bring ya 180mm macro as da shore is quite a distance from da boardwalk especially lowtide period.

So in other words, to read you correctly, if we walk along the broadwalk, we do not need to register for the guide? Correct? The guide and registration booking is only required and only applies to those who wants to get down to the shore?
