Default Qns about Sigma APO 70-200mm F2.8 II EX DG MACRO for Pentax

In the review from Dpreview, it mention that: *If the camera body does not support HSM motor, AF does not work.

So does it mean that it will not work even k10d?? Since K10D is not HSM but SDM!!?? Pls advise and explain for them who really understand.

maybe some translation mistake...

perhaps it meant if no SDM support(K100D) then HSM will not work...

anyway, if its release as pentax mount, then it should work perfectly on the K10D.

I think it means Pentax cameras that does not support SDM won't be able to support HSM. That would also include the K10D with old firmware before 1.30.

It will work on the K10D. HSM is just the Sigma name for it. The lens is not couple with the screw drive so AF will only work with K10D, K100D super, K20D and K200D.

Oh yes, K10D must have the latest 1.30 firmware to support SDM.
