(For Canon users)
With a Full Frame camera, i am wondering which ultra wide zoom lens to purchase. So i really need feedbacks on Sigma and Canon lens in terms of ultra wide angle only Sigma 12-24mm F4.5-5.6 EX DG Aspherical HSM Canon 16-35mm F2.8L USM |

Really quite straighforward.
For the widest possible, go for the Sigma. Of course, you lose the fast f/stop, and you can't mount front-mounted filters. If your priority is low light, go for the 16-35. It depends on what you shoot really. If you are shooting landscape primarily, then a good balance would be a 17-40L, as this is sharper than the 16-35 f/2.8, especially in the corners, and cheaper too. |

FF you say? Canon 16-35mm F2.8L USM is wider than Sigma 12-24mm F4.5-5.6 EX DG Aspherical HSM.
DG on Sigma lenses denotes Digital Only, meaning APS-C or cropped sensor. ![]() |

'DC' is what is denoted for 'Digital Cropped'. 'DG' means its FF. |

DC is for Digital Only, DG means the lens coatings are optimised for Digital, but it can be used on film or full frame, as well as 1.3x crop and 1.6x crop. |
