informal tests from another site...is probably accurate from a comparative point of view...

in any case it shows that the 40D is on par with 5D in terms of dynamic range, and exceeds that of the 20D/30D, which is probably what digic iii brings to the table (smaller chip compared to 5D digic ii)

the idIII /1dsII / 1dsIII are the champs so far.

anyone here technical enough to understand if this test is reliable ?
