@ ming9866 - quite small i dont how the exact size...
@ nyxx88 - agree, this guy has really test my patience @ ming9866 - ALL of the above, how fast??? my friend told me that some tiger beetles can run at a speed of 5 mph @ Luenny - somewhere in chesnut drive while walking @ tchuanye - thanks...here is a bigger image ![]() |

Thanks Jeorems,
I caught a pic of one too while I was shooting butterfly the other day. I didn't know what they were except that they were running around causing the butterfly to fly away. So I took a shot of it and realize they were tiger beetle. Had been staring at them all the time without knowing what they were.

Yup,definatly fastest land insect in the world,lol,i watched the show "The Most Xtreme",apparently,tigers beetles run so fast they can hardly see,a man size tiger beetle would run so fast,we will need a car that goes forgot how fast in order to catch up with them
