He is using a Panasonic FZ Series Camera with Achromat Filters & a DIY Flash Diffuser . Noticed the catchlight in the Spidey's eyes ? This Diffuser is Bent !

FYI
Achromat filter, Close-up filter and Diopter refer to the same thing.

Actually Achromatic is different from normal close up lens...they are usually double element that does correction for the light....so its more exp than the cheap single element close up lens.

To TS, Great images again!

If you use the torch, how come the light is not seen in the eyes? You clone them off?

Nice capture of the spiders.
Btw, is the LED torch light useful to improve focusing at night or poor light conditions?
Thinking of getting one for my FZ18.

It should be best used for night shooting . Try getting the Energizer one , though a little bit more expensive but , more useful than those cheapo $5.00 ones ...

I think Bro Excelglsi & me are also using the same cheapo $5.00 ones la . Its just that i had the Energizer one as well .

Hi CY

My Quote is just some layman term. (But achromatic filter is still a type of close-up filter)

To be technical
achromatic lens compose of two individual lenses made from glasses with different amounts of dispersion. Usually one element is a concave lens made out of flint glass, which has relatively high dispersion, while the other, convex, element is made of crown glass, which has lower dispersion. The lens elements are mounted next to each other, typically cemented together, and shaped so that the chromatic aberration of one is counterbalanced by the chromatic aberration of the other.

To sum up, it is designed to limit the effects of chromatic and spherical aberration. Achromatic lenses are corrected to bring two wavelengths (typically red and blue) into focus in the same plane.

Wow.... that a long explaination.....
