Nice documentation on the Kidney garden orb spider.
(first few pics, #6 is also the same species.)#9 is a spiny spider. #7 is a wide jaw viceria spider, male. The females lack the black colouration for the forelegs. Cheers, |

Nice capture of the various type of spiders...
Tamron 90mm macro seems to be a popular choice. Are the photos taken with auto or manual focus? |

thks, they are usually taken on manual mode, fix the shutter to reduce handshake, and vary the aperture according to subjects. However, this produces dark backgrounds many times, some pple like it as the subjects stands out, and some doesn't as its not natural.

Hi undergrd ,
Haha, I'm not dat good to teach la..but I can share with you what I know. How did I do such close up with the insects? Hmm.. Usually I will be taking at 1:1, the max mag for this lens.. no other add ons. But it really depends on the size of the insect and how I want to compose them. :> Sometimes filling up the space with the insect is not as nice as having a smaller insect with some nice backgrd. (Of cuz not too small la, then not really macro rite) ![]() |
