    Default Canon EF 28-70mm f/2.8 USM L

    Read in some forums that this lens have common problem in the image sharpness. Anyone have the same problem? is 17-55 IS better?

    You're probably talking about the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM, which is THIS one.

    There's a 28-70mm f/2.8 L, though I've not heard of any problems with either that or the 24-70mm f/2.8 L.

    i have not read or heard abt ppl complaining abt the 28-70 before. more complains on the current 24-70.

    anyway reviews can be found online.

    The EF 28-70mm f/2.8 precedes the EF 24-70mm f/2.8. Not many people are aware of this lens now. Mine is pretty decent quality wise except at wide open, colour rendition seems to deteriorate.
