You can crop the excess space at the bottom and right.

If you can shoot the bee on the flower this good , it means you should get a macro lens & enjoy every moment with it !

Hi , just my 2 cents . You can set you Aperture higher to f8 & above , from your Exif info , f5.6 is to wide .

Try
- use manual focus, move your setup to focus - go closer to the object - keep low level ( same to the object ) - use flash to fill in , FC -1 - ensure Aperture is f8 or smaller or try different values - ensure shutter speed is 1/focal length sec for handheld |

You may want to try using Close up filters like mine ... Not so expensive compared to buying a Macro lens . ![]() But you only have one way to shoot with these Filters , its to get close to it . Don't expect to get focused from far ... ![]() |

I started off with this Lens too ! Macro after 200mm , can 1:2 . Not so expensive to own too . |

Yeah Bro , thats a god lens to start & will serve you well throughout your journey on a DSLR . I sometimes still using it to reach subjects that are further to reach .
