    Default tripod

    looking to buy a new tripod for my Nikon F80 with 80-200mm lens attach to it. any recommendations?
    what to look out for?

    1)Min folded height
    2)Max extended height
    3)Weight of tripod
    4)Ball head or pan head type
    5)TOTAL BUDGET

    Hi, my only requirements is that it should be below $150.

    Is your 80-200mm the f2.8 verson?
    If yes, a normal ball head might not be able to hold it properly w/o slipping.

    For less than $200 get the manfrotto 190 + 141RC. Have used that combo with F80+80-200/2.8. No problem.

    For less than $150, you will have to look for a 2nd hand deal.
