Dear all,
I must say that I am impressed with the colour saturation and the contrast of F2 mode However, when I saved in jpeg format, the details in the highlight and the shadow are lost .Seeking your advise on how to twitch the setting so that these details are no lost. Seeking your advise please. Thanks! |

Perhaps I have asked a very stupid question. I guess that's why it has been ignored.
Allow me to rephrase the question: If I set the DR to 400% in standard mode, will it extend the F2 mode to 400% also? I hope it is a more reasonable question.... |

Please read the manual, DR is 400% in the film simulation modes.
F2 is high contrast, it is expected that the darks are black and the lights are white. For a more balanced exposure with the wider dynamic range retained, you may want to try the F1 modes, and tweak a little on the saturation. |

F2 DR IIRC is only 100% and u can't change that
if you read the reviews, they suspect that F2 mode is simple S curve tweak. Actually IMO it's better to shoot at 400% normal, and then tweak it later to your own liking to retain the detail. I think the F1 film modes are better.. allows more DR IIRC.
