Default Springleaf Macros

Was at a friend's place when I saw that he had a rather "wild" backyard. Whipped out my cam and got shooting for about 5 minutes before my buddies got impatient. Rather new at macros actually. I'm still at the stage where I standing in the middle of the bush, getting laughed at by the bugs I'm trying to shoot BTW, I hate wind

Here's my best shot of the day. C&C would be greatly appreciated.

Flame Skimmer (Libellula saturata)

A good shot. The eyes are in focus, and that is the most important for macros.

There are places where it is overexposed...wings and the white blotch of leaf at the left.

Thanks for the tip tchuanye. Would you have any tips on how to keep these burnt outs at bay? Any techniques to avoid them? It was taken around 5:30pm and the sun was coming down pretty strong. Should I have exposed for the wings and let the flash fill up the rest of the dragonfly?

Thanks in advance
