As abovementioned, anyone did that before?
After the process, did your lens get any better? When you bring your lens for calibration, do you have to leave your camera with them? How long does it take?

That's a question I recently had too!
![]() My 12-24 doesn't look sharp around the peripherals until I step down to about f11. Pretty limiting in some indoor conditions. ![]() |

my 30mm lens had back focus problem the day i bought it. send it in for calibration and it is very sharp now. the process takes about 1 to 2 hours, you can have a cup of coffee downstair and they will call you when it is ready. it is free if under warenty. please call them to make appointment and bring both the lens and the camera together for calibration

Not good service..i would say. Long story, need to type alot for me.
Just that, it takes me 5 trips or more back and forth to calibrate my lens and still cant get perfect focus as so called "this lens has the tolerance limit" Then, have to send back sigma japan with the camera body to recalibrate the lens to perfect focus but i refused, afraid that they might calibrate my body to that off focus lens, even thought they said they wont calibrate my body. So i just got back my refund, with better focusness than the first time i had the lens free of charge, still all right accuracy now. front focus a bit, better than few months back, which was about 14cm back. Firstly, Sigma service in Singapore is very good.
No, they are not able to get everything perfect the first time. But they'll keep trying their best. And the technician is very polite. I had sent my lens to Sigma Japan for focus calibration and decentered elements. It came back perfect. Personally, I think it's better to purchase Sigma to Tamron lens. At least, Sigma has a local service center, unlike Tamron. |

Does anyone know how much does it cost to calibrate a sigma lens that is not under warranty, or a grey set?
