Very sharp Great colors too.. that proves non-L can still produce wonderful pic

the 75-300 mm at tele end performance drops considerably and ca rather high i did comparison by shooting white target at 300mm.

um this is the version without usm and is.

Composition for the first one is better as the seodn one ahs too much empty space on the top. Also bottom one is looking on the a rather cramped space. Your DOf is ontrolled quite well actually but you might wanna try to get a little eye contact or go lower at times.

As for your quesiton of the population of cats, its best not to reveal where you shoot them and to say where all the strays are as there may be people who are on the lookout for such hotspots to cull them...
