hiya all!
lcd protector just got a 5050 a coupla mins ago and i'm a bit paranoid abt scratching it, esp the lcd. unlike my canon & nikon, it does not flip and twist to get the screen out of it's own way. so, aside from the regular pda's sticky tape, where will i be able to find one that's made out of plastic? flash it's a toss up between oly's 40 and metx 54 with an optional dedicated oly sca adapter. i'm leaning towards the metz. does anyone think otherwise? comments appreciated. cheers! Not possible ... that's why I got it from a MO kindly organised by our Ms Beautiful eyes RuthBaby ....
Your options are: 1. Wait for RuthBaby to sell you the spare 'da mini protectors (if there are any) 2. Wait for another MO 3. Get it yourself online from www.daproducts.com 4. Wait for some other forum member who's got a spare one to sell to you Hey, at least you got 4 options ![]() |

it's much appreciated anyways. : )
i'll just order one. problem is, i don't know if i'll be using the 5050 for that long. anyidea how long it takes to get the order here? fyi: while waiting for 'da protector' i'll have to improvise first. i hate scratches. first option is to use one side of the compact flash case from canon's g2/g3 box. it almost fits. the other is to use the waist level finder from my nikon f3. it almost fits as well, it protects and shades, 2 in 1. : ) we'll see what happens then. cheers! |

You could also just get one of the LCD protectors for the PDAs and then cut it to fit for the 5050. I even cut one for the small display near the dials ... hey, at least better than nothing right?

i've seen some naked and scratched lcds. i feel for the owners. musta been kinda sick feeling.
but you're right. i'll go get some pda's protectors as a stop gap measure. but eitherways, i'll have to order some if ruthbaby doesn't have any left. my a70 and z3's naked too. i just hope that the ones for pda's don't peel too easily. your thoughts are much appreciated. |

You may have a problem for your A70 cos of the lever to switch between camera taking and viewing mode. That one probably has to be seld-customised.
Anyway, that should be in the Canon section ... this is for Olympus |
