Choosing between Sigma & Vivitar Minolta lens

Hi there anyone uses the following two Minolta zoom lenses:
1. Sigma 28 - 210mm
2. Vivitar 70 - 300mm

Someone selling at ebay, to check whether can it be used on Sony dslr or what are the shortfall on using these two lenses other than SOny lenses. Thanks
