I just saw on dpreview on the 2 new sigma telephoto lens namely Sigma 120-400mm and Sigma 150-500mm.
http://www.dpreview.com/news/0801/08...igma120400.asp Wow finally, we have the canon equivalent of 100-400mm with this new sigma lens. Think its twist zoom. Plus with OS up to 4 stops! I think its a great move, handholding this lens will certainly be possible! http://www.dpreview.com/news/0801/08...igma150500.asp Is this a 'replacement' of the Sigma 50-500mm lens? Looks like it is. Again, i am impressed by what Sigma has done. Pushing technology forward faster! OS again! Woah! |

It says:
"*1 OS function is not available." at the end of the review, what does it mean? ![]() |

As a big fan of Sigma telephoto lenses, I wait eagerly for the first test report on these lenes.
I believe Sigma is able to give us pretty good products, especially, those of EX standard.

The 150-500 is bigger, heavier and has a shorter range compared to Bigma. But then it has OS. Is OS worth it?
