The newly announced APO 50-150mm F2.8 II EX DC HSM for Pentax and Sony implies that now HSM is available for Pentax ?
Seems pretty fast ! Good times for Pentax! Pentax Primes + 3rd party Zooms ! |

Oh yeah, Sigma did it again: reverse engineered our SDM design and made their own version (HSM)
That's pretty cool, I'm sure this Sigam 70-200 would be a great competitor to the Tamron 70-200, while the 50-150 would be a big challenge to our DA*50-135 I had an early Sigma 70-200 EX (non macro non DG) before, quite liked it. Hope this one would be as good or better. |

Finally ! I've been expecting Sigma to push their HSM technology for Pentax bodies for the longest time. The 70-200mm F2.8 is a great lens, I tried the Canon version before. My only complain is the stiff zoom ring and the position of the ring, when mounted on a tripod / monopod the tripod collar gets in the way.
