very hard to tell 'best setting'.
Different people have different workflow. Some use JPG and utilise the Film F modes. For others like me I use shoot mostly JPEG and RAW, and all just standard setting, 400% then edit in PC later.

If everyone were to use the "best" setting, then we are merely photo taking machines.....

Pressing the help button in the menu will give you a good idea what those Film settings are meant for. I tried the various settings, and usually fall back on standard film, and either auto or 400% DR (raw file size will be doubled if you set DR other than 100%). Color is std or medium high, tone std or medium high and sharpness std. No harm (it's fun) spending time trying all those F settings in different environments.

Part of the fun (usefulness) of the S5 is that you can use different settings for different purposes. Eg, F1 for very low contrast, soft-looking portraits, and at the other extreme, F2 for rich, punchy colours for landscape, etc. I've tried and quite like F1c for general use. But nowadays normally set it at Standard lah. Anyway, if you are shooting RAW, much of these settings don't really matter as they can be adjusted during post processing.
