Got 2 newbie Q to ask some pros here.
1.To get some photo effect like this
, is it something to do with the filter or technic(Zoom in and out the lens while shutter release.)???

2.Where can i get a budget dry cabin for lens???(budget between $20-$50)

ans:
1. if your techic is good enough, possible. otherwise, Photoshop.

2. there wouldnt be a dry cabi @ 20-50,maybe you're able to get it 2nd hand. or get a drybox of smt @ carrefour @$25.90 or smt.

using photoshop for zooming effect has most controlled results, follow by lens filter, using zoom lens zooming while making exposure has least controlled results, almost whole image is zooming blur, except centre portion has less blur.

using the zooming technique, like wad catchlights said, results in the whole image being blurred radially. u can fire a flash to freeze the subject while zooming in/out. this is result in sth more like the photo u posted. rmb, the subject must be close to the lens and the backgrd is far such that the flash reaches the subject only.

else, photoshop can handle it.

Hi CSers, got another more Q to ask here again. How to take a picture of a moving object sharpand clear with a blurry background at night???The image still very dull when i adjust my shutter speed till very high with large aperture

oh, this technique is called panning.
dosent matter if its in the day or at night.

however, u need a relatively slow shutter speed for the backgrd blur, and not too slow such that there is visible handshake. (like 1/20 - 1/40? depends on how fast moving the subject is also) so u basically set ur camera to shutter priority.

a few mtds of focusing on the subject.
1. pre-focus on an area in which the subject would be. (like if u want to shoot a moving car that will be driving over say lane 2 of the road, u use AF to focus lane 2, and set to MF to stop AF when u are shooting)

2. use AI servo focusing mode (on canon cameras that is; im not sure abt the term used on other brands of camera). this would auto focus constantly on a subject that is always moving.

then, as the car comes, u press the shutter button, and follow thru the motion of the car while the shutter is open.

this will result in a sharp moving object (since u are following its motion, thus relative to the frame, the car dosent seem to move) while the stationary backgrd will be blurred relative the frame. u need a slow enuff shutter to capture the motion blur.

requires some practise. have fun!
