Default Kites and Eagles

This was taken in one of the outings with Fred at the east coast area. Its a series of Black Kites and White-bellied Sea Eagle.

Nice work, like first and last pics. My lens cant focus fast enough to get good pics like these. When I focus manually, most dont turn out so sharp too. The birds look better when the are flying towards you rather than away from you.

Thanks for all the comments.

mphil, I do agree that it looks better if it is flying towards you. Unfortunately this time round I couldn't get that shots, the 3 are the best I got in the brief encounter with the Black Kite.

I used to have the S2 Pro, its a good camera and I do miss it at times. Are you using the VR lens?

Yeah, most of the time there is also a 1.4x TC on as well. Slow, but steady lens. The noise it makes when it is focussing is also loud enough to scare aways the birds! I need to prefocus manually then switch to auto when that happens.
