How to threaten without armament? Lol.

Lets say you don't know at all what you expect to shoot, but you know you will shoot photos today. Will you bring out every lens you own? (if you have an 18-200 don't answer )

not feasible to send so many planes to intercept a cessna..

bet the Cessna's pilot must be peeing in his pants. i wonder how the jets maintained speed with the Cessna

must be difficult at times to nose up and fly straight.
they can maintain the speed with the cessa.. the f-16 has enough thrust to fly at stall angle..
    but just not efficient..

wow...1000 Nautical Miles. That's like what..1,800 miles if I estimated it correctly. More then enough to get from Thailand to Singapore.

    Correct me if I am wrong, but 1NM = 1.15 mile? Hence, 1000NM = 1150 miles.

I recall I watch in the news when I was young.

Guys, remember in 1987 when a German teenager ride a Cessna plane from then West Germany and landed at Red Square, Moscow.

Russians air defence were at their best combat readiness during the time of Cold War,
their air defence radar, 3 SAM divisions and 2 interceptors actually do pick up the plane,
but somehow, due to poor co-cordination and mis-communication, the plane manage to bypass their defense and landed at the very heart of the Iron Curtains.

After this incident, a lot of high ranking Soviets officers were sacked, demote or transfer to Serbia.

The enemy will hit you hard when you think it is not a threat.
The enemy will hit you most whem you think you are safe.

My bad bro...abit lazy. I mean in kilometre when you calculate it. heheh... I think that was where I got it wrong. so 1000 nautical mile is about 1,852 KM. Still enough to reach Singapore from Thailand. Should have trusted my PDA then my brain with mathematic sometime haahahaha

That little plane got lucky then. IF you recalled, they shot down an entire korean commercial jet when it stray into Russian air space when it did ot respond to their radio hail if I am not wrong. That is the worst luck.

Lucky our RSAF flew over to id it and escort it in heheheh...

i am just wandering if the pilot and the passengers inside were found unconscious or fainted and the plane was auto-piloted, will they be shot down instead ?

if wanted to save them how to do it then ?

If such incident is to happen, to be frank, pray for Miracle.

I can't remember which year, but well, it happen before, but this time the plane did not intrude any air space.

An Greece airline lost contact with the tower control, but the radar manage to spot the planc, 2 Greece F-16s were send to investigate only to find the pilots and all the passengers were unconscious.

After running out of fuels, the plane crashed with no survivours.
Investigate show that it is due to technical errors which cause all unconscious. (can't remember what happen actually)

just a wayang to show they earn their bonus.

now you know why the MLY so upset when our jets routinely enter their airspace in the past.

if they are so on the ball and vigilant, then how come ......cannot even spot a damaged ship limping through the water in broad daylight.

long ago a Taiwanese ship collided with a Sing passenger cruise liner Royal Pacific and many died.

then everyone claimed that it was impossible to spot and locate the Taiwanese ship Terfu 51 to arrest the ship to Sing port, even if the navy and air force was mobilised.
well if you buy that story then some one got a railroad to sell you. Taiwanese ship was allowed to sail all the way back to Taiwan.

likely that it was carrying abnormal cargo. (missiles?) who knows. its cover was as a fishing vessel.
no matter what, it was not to be stopped even though easily spotted.
maybe a case of you help me, then i help you. we do owe Taiwan for allowing our NS men to run around carrying weapons in their training areas.

Sorry, had to type those words enclosed in asterisks to remind myself not to get into a meaningless argument.
