Default How to Clean sigma lenses?

Hey everyone, I knew the matte surface on Sigma lens peels off and get dirty quite easily.

BUT does anyone have any good ideas:

1) to minimise the peeling,
2) to clean the the stains in between the grooves of the rubber/matte surface?

Please state whether you've tried the idea, thanks.

Someone told me that the Sigma ZEN surface is a special sort of polymer paint. I think it is applied over the plastic or metal barrel of the lens. Yes, it peels rather easily. Once that happens, very difficult to make it look nice again.

To prevent peeling, cover the areas with gaffer tape.

I don't have Sigma lenses any more... sold both of my EF mount ones 2 years ago.... very cheaply as they cannot be used with current EOSs

Thanks Russ,

I have 3 secondhand sigma lenses but one of them is already showing the signs of deterioration.
