cool, how fast does it auto-focus.. er sort-of (you still have to manual focus and it gives you a beep for a focus-lock confirmation right?)

Yes. Need to half press the shutter button and manually focus the lens until you get the AF and beep sound. Under ample lighting condition, the AF confirmation can be attained quite easily.

Sorry, but I fail to find the focus in more than one of those images. Maybe you did not had shutter priority off and by accident triggered the camera before or after the focus.

I know it's possible, I know it works, but some of those are not the best samples to demonstrate that.
