You have to calibrate your screen so that it has the same colors as your printer

It depends on what shop you go to. If its those booths, den you have a problem. If its a professional printer, like those companies you find in the yellow pages, you can call them and ask for printer calibration values, and you can calibrate ur screen to their printer.

    As mentioned above already.

You'd need to use a calibrating device to calibrate your monitor to a specific value and use this value for your printer as well. Look for a better one, some apparently aren't as good.

I do my printing with Costco in US, who provides their printer profile online. What I needed to do was to calibrate my screen (I use Eye-One), then load the printer profile as the proofing profile onto photoshop.

That way my screen does not always have to use the printer's profile, and on photoshop I can switch between colour adjustment for onscreen viewing or for printing (ctrl-Y).
As complexity rises, precise statements lose meaning and meaningful statements lose precision.
