Talking Nikon Lust!

Just for the sake of creating more posts, what would be the Nikon equipment that you think you are going to purchase next (or are lusting after, but may not get).

To kick it off (and in no order of preference):-
1. Nikkor 45f/2.8P lens
2. Nikkor 105f/2.8 Micro lens (this one on wishlish quite long already)
3. Nikon D60 (or Canon D100 - whichever one that can take Nikkor lenses )
4. Nikkor 70-200f/2.8 AFS-VR
5. Nikkor 80-400f/4.5-5.6 (altho can substitue the 70-200 and a 2x TC for this one)
6. Nikkor 300f/2.8 AFS II

And before YSLee comes in and say i am a snob, this is just a wishlist, and I do not have any plans to purchase (unless i strike 4D or Toto .... ....)

ahh..now we know. secretly inside every Nikon would-be digital user, they yearn to own a Canon D30 / D60 like digital SLR

wowed over by the image quality of the D60 samples online, they stare at the Nikon D100 camp for similar samples for comparison and found.....nothing

My wishlist (not in order of preference):
1. Nikon D100 with MB-D100 or Fujifilm S2Pro
2. Nikkor AFS 28-70/2.8 or Tokina 28-70/2.6-2.8 ATX-Pro II
3. Nikkor AFS 80-200/2.8 or AFS 70-200/2.8 VR
4. Sigma 50-500/4-6.3 HSM
5. Nikkor AFD 105/2.8 Micro
6. Nikkor AFD 50/1.8
7. Nikkor AFS 17-35/2.8
8. Nikkor AFS 300/2.8 II
9. Nikon F100 to replace my old F90
10. SpeedLite SB-80DX
11. Accessories like 2x TC and macro tube

And as Darren said, it's just a wishlist. Some might come true and some won't, depends on my financial condition.

Modified to add in the MB-D100 and SB-80DX

Haha, Darren IS a snob anyway, so I won't say anymore. Ehehehe.

Now for me.. Hmmmmmmm... in order of importance:

1. Nikon SB-28 or SB80DX
2. Nikkor AF-S 17-35mm f/2.8 (I'd settle for a 20mm prime though*)
3. Nikon D1H
4. Nikkor AF-S 400mm f/2.8
5. Micro Nikkor 200mm f/4
6. Nikkor 105mm f/2 DC

*(basket, Prime camera has the 20mm f/3.5, but they're charging an insane $590 for it! $590!!! I get a 20mm f/2.8 AF for $750 NEW! What are these <expletive deleted> thinking??)

The f3.5 one is optically better. One of Galen Rowell's favourite lenses is actually the f4 version.

Quoted from : http://www.bythom.com/20lens.htm
Quote:
This is a great lens, though not necessarily the sharpest of the 20mm's Nikon has made (Galen swears by the 20mm f/4, and I've known other photographers who love the 20mm f/3.5).
For me:
1. Nikkor AF 85mm f1.8D or AF 105 f2.8D Micro
2. Nikkor AFS 17-35mm f2.8D IF ED
3. Nikkor AFS 28-70mm f2.8D IF ED
4. Nikkor AFS 80-200mm f2.8D IF ED
5. Nikon D1X, H or D100 (or the Fuji S2 Pro)
6. Nikon Coolscan IV ED while waiting for the above

My dream combo (very unlightly to come true):
1. F5
2. D100
3. AFS 17-35mm
4. AFS 28-70mm
5. AFS 80-200mm
6. AFS 300mm
7. Nikon AFS 1.4x TC
8. SB80DX x 2
9. Nikkor 60micro
10. Nikkor 200micro

Can I add a Contax 645 medium format as well? With 40mm, 80mm, 120macro, and 300mm APO-tesser.

My more down to earth plan:
1. F80 + MB1x
2. AFD 80-200mm N
3. Tokina ATX PRO 28-80mm
4. Kenko PRO 1.4x TC

Hey, if you do decide to get it, perhaps we can get it together. Maybe got discount?

I don't buy ToTo...so no surprise money for me (but I save money instead of ToToing...), thus it will take a Loooooong time before I can afford the Contax. It is either Nikon or Contax...both?...more like a dream...day dreaming now...

Right, consider this: It's used, MF, much older, not exactly a collector's item, 1/2 a stop slower, and the buggers are charging $590? SIAO!

Remember the 35-105mm f3.5-4.5 AIS? It's $200 more than my AF 28-105 f3.5-4.5D. Some of the AIS lenses are actually more expensive, most likely because they are better built, has better glass, etc. But yeah, $590 is a bit, er, expensive.

What's the condition?

Dunno, never took a good look at it. A cursory glance, though, looks like it's quite used.
