I noticed that the battery life (without grip) is very short. I might be wrong but mine went "low batt" after around 200 shots (old batt from my E-500 though).
Can someone else please share the number of shots they can take with a fully charged batt on E-3? Thanks. |

I had at least 400 shots (no grip) and was still going strong, if I remembered correctly.

About 300 - 400 shots with moderate use of LCD and no flash. Down to about 100 est with the use of Live View. The E3 was overheating like an 80s russian car.

OK...now I now there's nothing wrong with my E-3...brought 2 batteries to Bintan and lasted for about 300+ shots using both batteries, occasionally live view during the 3 days....

It boils down to each shooting habits. Here is mine.
Battery life - about 450 shots Setting - LCD turned off all the time, maybe 5-10 Live View shots No "chimping" after shooting. Only after a session I will review the photos and delete those that I don't like (very much like shooting film habit). Goes down to about 350 shots when I start chimping more and uses internal flash. Brand new BLM-1s.

Have not really tested it but I have no problems 300-400 shots. Batt life never an issue so far.

If it's an issue. Just get a few more BLM-1s. Since microcosm has an MO.

There's one workaround to the current HLD-4 voltage issue, when the batts run low, swap them around in the HLD-4 and off you go again.

hahaha so solution = buy more batteries. hehe. works for me. I like to go for trips and take photo so 1 batt is definitely not going to make it. 2 is borderline and I have ran into situation when I wish I have a extra spare, which is why I am buying additional 2 with extra charger (need to charge faster - this guys charge very slowly)

I will say it's pretty good considering the in-body IS.
