now really keen to knw who ur lecturer is.

in my time they followed strict teaching on fotography esp. on foundations as it is the single most important thing abt fotography.

of cos, now i m not so sure.

as for the admission practises... LASALLE-SIA is 1/2 gov 1/2 private. thus maybe... now those with $$ can easily get in n study. but whether they will survive in the courses is another different thing.

    let me summarise...

u got ability n passion, u will go very very far.

u got lotsa passion but short on natural talent/ability, u will still go very far.

u got ability but no passion, quite far and is prone to occasional 'special finishing move'. i know alot of such ppl, suddenly got super idea n do a project that is so WOW. but they are lazy by nature... u know wat i mean... hehehee

got $$ but nothing else, depends on whether u can buy off other students' works or get free-lancers to do for u.
but once in the workforce, u'll suffer, unless of cos u work for ur parents... or something like tat.

by the way, love the new campus. so nice.

depends on ur attitude towards the lecturer too...

i remember i was very keen to learn n BUG my lecturer jus after her class with ANOTHER CLASS and even though my class is next wk... she can see tat i'm very keen to learn too n thus won't mind spending more of her free time to coach me.

those were film days and i remember spending a bomb each time developing my prints jus to be critiqued n shown the right way. ya, so it is hell for her to go through my terigible and lousy works in the past.

such a good lecturer, where to find?

i belif if u show alot of motivation n passion for any subject, ur lecturer will respond in kind.

dun gif up on urself even if ur lecturer gave up on u. i remember my drawing lecturer ERNEST CHAN so well. hahahaha is he still around?

he wanted me out of his class so much to the extent of getting me down for a talk as i wasn't showing enuff talent in drawing n i always argue back.

but i persevered n did rather ok for drawing.

its not for functionality but for aesthetic reason.

    this is the place

    anyway, what ever it is
    you need passion to excel

i would suppose if you ask the lecturer they will be more than happy to teach
