    Default gitzo gt1530 vs gt2530

    hi all...

    i'm currently using a d40x with 18-200vr lens... n i thinking of getting a tripod...
i'm hoping to eventually upgrade to a a full frame camera in abt 2 yrs... depending on wat models nikon hav available... n i feel the heaviest lens i will b using will b a 70-200 f2.8...

so i look arnd n came down to either gitzo gt1530 or gt2530...
as quoted frm gitzo... gt2530 is recommended for dslr with 200mm lens... up to 300mm max... while the gt1530 is recommended for a dslr with 135mm lens... up to 200mm max...

the added advantage of gt2530 will that it will b more stable compared to the gt1530...
but weighing at 1.1kg... the gt1530 is slightly lighter den the 1.4kg gt2530... making it easier to run arnd with... for the stability part... we can always hang a weight to increase its stability...

as for the head... i'm hoping to get a markin q3 ballhead... n i'm hoping that this combi of ballhead n tripod will nv need a upgrade...

taking all this into consideration... any comments anybody??

Actually GT1530 is good enough for 70-200 f2.8, especially if you are getting Markin Q3 Ball head, the setup is stable enough.

But if you're thinking of nvm need to upgrade.... get GT2530. Better to safe, you will not know what lens you will be getting in the future.

CP has a GT1540 on display with aprice tag of $1000... so i guess that its gt2530 will b more ex... k-13's quotation of gt2530 is 900++... while the cheapest i nod of is frm TK... they quoted me $860...
