When compared to a SB-600 or SB-800 how backward is the SB-80DX? Thanks =)

Depending on your camera, the SB-80DX is actually a very good flash. In general, I-TTL is more versatile than D-TTL.

been shooting weddings with a sb80dx. its a brilliant piece of nikon history which works just as well 98% of the time, infact, i found the auto on the sb80 alittle better than the ttl on the 800. i found the 800 has a tendancy to overexpose especially when bouncing, never really happened to me on my 80.

It is a very gd piece of flash. I think there are many out there who are using it if their body is able to support DTTL.
Furthermore, you can get 1 from BnS here at around $250. |
