    glad you achieve the result u wanted.

    now that you got your flash, if u find that your photos are a little white-ish, u can play with white balance to lessen the flash effects, not sure if D40X got temp control for WB, D80 can set the WB by temp, else just use florence WB

    You can try using a diffuser with your flash to give a more even result... and there is a thread on making an Ikea diffuser... ha ha... I really like what this guy did...
