Default Sigma 12-24 EX DG

I am planning to get the Sigma 12-24 for canon mount 40D. Anyone has any advice on this lens? I am planning to go FF in future so this seems to be the only option for a UWA FF zoom.

Hi,

As you already said it, this is the only FF 12-24 mm out there now. So, if you need this UWA, ...dun have any other choice liao.

IQ fo this lens is good- at least for me. As sith most EX lenses, the color saturation can be a little too much for some folks. But overall, if you are into UWA compositions, this one wun disappoint

I use this lens for professional work and highly recommend it. In fact, when used correctly, it has excellent minimal barrel distortion, better than the other UWA that I use, the Canon 16-35L. Shoot RAW and correct the typical Sigma warm tone and you'll be fine.

But check a few copies before you buy because Sigma doesn't have the best QC. Good luck!
